Two Bills Which Must be Defeated:
A White House Power Grab that Congress and America Doesn’t See
by SusanAnne Hiller.
To achieve the goal of a universal, single-payer health system, the White House must secure the power it needs by amending the Social Security Act to transfer pivotal controls from Congress to the executive branch.  This transfer of power would ultimately give the President and the majority party, in this case the radical left Obama White House and Pelosi-Reid led progressive Democrats, the authority to frame and manipulate new policy, coverage options, and reimbursements, ultimately reshaping the future US health care system into a something unrecognizable in this country.

The deliberate setup for the White House power grab is built into the each of the health care bills and, if they fail, little-known twin bills called “MedPAC Reform of 2009” are waiting in the wings.  The bills, S.B. 1110 and H.R. 2718, craftily amend the Social Security Act and transfer the Medicare guideline and rule setting processes, from the legislative branch to the executive branch.  These bills offer cover to one another in case one doesn’t pass the House or Senate, respectively.  Remember, Democrats need to gain executive branch authority by amending the Social Security Act over Medicare regulations and physician fee schedules to transform the health care system in a single-payer, socialized system.

Oppose Obama's Health Care Plan.    Sign the Petition Opposing this Plan!

Ask all Representatives and Senators to sign this pledge:
My Pledge to My Constituents on National Health Insurance

1. I will not vote to expand the bankrupt Medicare program unless and until it is first placed on a sound actuarial basis.

2. I will not vote for any national health insurance legislation that includes a public plan unless I am prepared to enroll myself and my family in the public plan. If a national health insurance bill with a public plan passes the Senate with my vote in support, then I pledge to enroll myself and my family in that public plan.

CAP & TRADE.  Now is the time to speak to our U.S. Senators about Cap and Trade.  In Obama's words in this video, we are the citizenry that can "mobilize" and can "force our representatives to do the right thing."  See Obama in this YouTube video.
--I wonder how many realize that before selling a home, an energy inspection will be required.
--I wonder how many realize that there is going to be a residential database that tracks the energy efficiency of their homes. There will be an "ENERGY PERFORMANCE LABELING PROGRAM."
--Big Brother, the U.S. Government, will be demanding that existing structures meet certain standards and be "retrofitted."
--There will be the development of "achieved performance measurement protocols for residential building energy use for at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act."
--If your home doesn't meet the national building code, you'll have to bring it up to code. Inspectors will determine if your property is in compliance.

ASK CONGRESS TO SIGN THIS PLEDGE TO READ EVERY BILL!
Washington Times Editorial: Passing Unread Laws
Congress hides policy from the people
By | Monday, July 6, 2009

This weekend's Fourth of July festivities celebrated the birth of representative government in America. As the Declaration of Independence set forth 233 years ago, our government derives its power from the consent of the governed. Such consent does not exist when legislation is purposely rammed through Congress so quickly that congressmen -- let alone citizens -- do not have time even to read it.

Welcome to Speaker Nancy Pelosi's House of Representatives. The "people's House" is now a place where bills are voted on not only before legislators or the public have read them, but also before parts of the bills even have been written. Such was the case with a 300-page amendment to the cap-and-trade bill the House passed on June 26. The House leadership could not even produce this amendment on paper, in final form, before it was voted on.

In response to that and other recent outrageous infringements of real representative democracy, a group called Let Freedom Ring is pushing all 435 members of Congress and 100 senators to sign a pledge against such shenanigans on any health care reform bill Congress considers.

All 535 of them ought to do so.

The pledge, which can be found at www.pledgetoread.com
, reads in part as follows:
"I pledge to my constituents and the American people that I will not vote to enact any healthcare reform package that: 1) I have not read, personally, in its entirety; and 2) Has not been available, in its entirety, to the American people on the Internet for at least 72 hours, so that they can read it too."

Contact ABC sponsors about their biased infomercial at the White House supporting of Obama's health care plan:

"In light of the ABC World News program's decision to host a "Town Hall" meeting on health care at the White House without opposition participation, the National Center for Public Policy Research is making a list of ABC World News sponsors available online for those who wish to boycott sponsors or/or send a letter of protest to them."

Oppose a new U.S. Department of PeaceBill H.R. 1064 is now in the House Financial Services Committee, Subcommittee on Healthy Families and Communities.
This bill is inappropriately named The Youth Promise Act.  Under the guise to reduce juvenile delinquency, prevent criminal street gang activity, and strengthen families, this bill establishes a new, expensive, and unnecessary federal agency called the U.S. Department of Peace which will ultimately reduce our ability to defend our nation and our families.   This Bill will create a new cabinet level position entitled, U.S. Secretary of Peace and Nonviolence, in the Executive Branch and fund a new academy on par with our military academies.  This academy will be modeled after United Nations Peace programs.  Sponsors hope to reduce the Department of Defense budget by 25% and give millions to this new agency.  The sponsor is Rep Scott, Robert C. "Bobby" [VA-3] (introduced 2/13/2009)  Cosponsors (208).  The Senate has a related bill: S.435

Peace activists state their goals here and have activists in most congressional districts.  It can be used as a vehicle to establish local enforcement of "hate crimes."
